Maia Sepp was born in 1985 in Tallinn (Estonia). She received her first piano lessons at the music school for gifted children «K. Baisseitow» in Almaty, Kazakhstan. 2003 she graduated this school with the distinction under the direction of famous pianist Prof. Gulzhamilya Kadyrbekova, who had a great influence on the formation of pianist’s personality. At the age of eight, she gave her first public concert, the first concert of Ludwig van Beethoven, with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 1999 she was the youngest participant at the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg and the 3rd prizewinner at the International Piano Competition in Naples. The following year she reached the finals of the International Piano Competition in Jurmala (Latvia) and in 2002 attended the International Bach Piano Competition in Leipzig. She is also prizewinner of the annual Festival of the President Nursultan Nazarbaevs Education Foundation.
    From 2003 to 2008 she studied at the Moscow State Conservatory named after Tchaikowsky, where she graduated with honors in the class of Prof. A.Mndoyants. Since 2010 she has continued her musical education at the master's degree with famous pianist Prof. Dr. h.c. Kalle Randalu at the Academy of Music in Karlsruhe (Germany). In 2012 she graduated her master degree with honors and in 2015 - her soloist studies with honors.
    In 2009 Maia Sepp was the 1st Prizewinner at the 3rd International Piano Competition in Wien (Austria) and the semi-finalist of the 5th International Piano Competition in Lyon.  In 2013 she was the 1st Prizewinner at the International Wolfgang-Rihm-Competition in Karlsruhe (Germany) and at the International Piano Competition Concours Musical de France in Paris.
    Maia Sepp leads an active concert career and performed in Moskau (Rubinstein Museum, P. Slobodkin’s concert hall, Rachmaninov Hall), in Tallinn (Estland), in Kasachstan (Almaty, Astana, Ust-Kamenogorsk), in France (Paris), in Germany (Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden, Stuttgart). She performed with such orchestras as the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana Symphony Orchestra, Latvian Chamber Orchestra, Karlsruhe Chamber Orchestra, Baden-Baden Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra.
In 2015 Maia Sepp won a prestigious scholarship from the Cultural Foundation of Baden-Württemberg (Germany). The grant supports promising young artists.
